Who's affected?
Electronic invoicing covers B2B transactions between businesses established in France and subject to VAT, including those under the small-business VAT exemption. Other flows may require transaction reporting to the tax authority.
When?
Reception has been mandatory since 1 September 2026. Issuance applies from that date to large and intermediate-sized enterprises, then from 1 September 2027 to SMEs and microbusinesses.
